The Foundations Pathway
An eight-week training in dyadic unfolding
The Foundations Pathway is an eight-week group training in the practice at the heart of the ARC Network. Two people sit together. One holds attuned loving presence. The other offers the truth of their present experience. After a time, they switch. The form is simple. The practice unfolds into endless depths.
The training does two things at once. It teaches the practice itself, layer by layer, through weekly group sessions and paired work with rotating partners across a small cohort. And it orients participants into the language, frames, and architecture of the ARC — the shared ground from which the practice draws its particular quality.
The rhythm
Each week, the whole cohort gathers for a group session: an arrival into shared presence, reflection on the prior week's practice, a single new layer of teaching, and live practice in pairs.
Each week also holds a smaller practice circle — five or so participants with two facilitators — a more intimate space where the practice can be met and the inquiry can deepen.
And between sessions, each participant meets a new partner for a longer dyadic session, rotating week to week.
The training is still finding its form. The ARC treats each cohort as a living experiment, so the particular rhythm and emphasis may shift from one to the next.
Who it is for
Those new to dyadic practice — including those new to contemplative practice altogether, those with meditation training but no relational practice, and those drawn to the ARC's vision who want exposure to the practice and teachings.
It is also for those with adjacent training who simply want the full immersion: the cohort, the slow deepening, the experience of walking the whole arc with others.
Completion and the door
Completion of the training is the natural moment of transition into the ARC, but it is not automatic. Near the end of the training, the network's fuller vision is offered and an open conversation follows. Those who wish to continue enter a mutual discernment about membership. Some may choose to enter the Integration Pathway. Not everyone who completes the training enters the ARC.
